And a view of Kristen Stewart!
Kidding. Sadly On the Road star Kristen Stewart did not show. The man did show me, with excitement, his vintage Verve poetry album by Kerouac, “The Beat Generation.” He put in on the platter and Jack’s back. His soft but urgent intelligent voice. Which, now remembering back gives rise to extemporizing a poem myself:
We drank we danced
and I
the newly minted and de-minted
mad poet
star of stage and bar
was implored to read more!
more of MY poetry
so I did and we did
drink and we partied
smoked and blowed
into the wee hours when
a slinky young lady from FRISCO
pranced from the deck
into the sliding glass door—closed
Wham
and knocked herself out cold
Good times
Kamstra Kerouac and crew
would have fit right in
